Ramon Roca-Tey, M.D., PhD. Senior Consultant in Nephrology, Hospital de Mollet, Fundación Sanitaria Mollet, Barcelona, ​​Spain. Research activity focused on the field of vascular access for hemodialysis with 69 publications and 9 awards received, among which the Extraordinary Doctorate Award for the Thesis entitled "Early diagnosis of vascular access stenosis for hemodialysis through non-invasive determination of blood flow" (Universitat Auntònoma de Barcelona, UAB). President of the Spanish Multidisciplinary Vascular Access Group (GEMAV). Council member of the Vascular Access Society (VAS). Coordinator of the vascular access working groups of the Catalan Nephrology Society and the Spanish Nephrology Society. Participation in three Clinical Guidelines for Vascular Access: European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA, 2019), European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS, 2018) and, especially, as co-coordinator, co-editor and co-author of the “Spanish Clinical Guidelines on Vascular Access for Haemodialysis” (GEMAV, 2017). Editor, author and main coordinator of the "Vascular access handbok for people with kidney disease" (2021). Chair of the 9th Congress of the Vascular Access Society (VAS, Barcelona, ​​2015).
