Jan Malik

Jan Malik is a cardiologist with special interest in hemodialysis vascular access and cardio-nephrology. He works in the General University Hospital of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague. Since late 1990s he examines dialysis vascular accesses by ultrasound. He published ca. 100 scientific articles, most of them were related to vascular access. His special interest has been ultrasound surveillance of arteriovenous grafts and hemodynamic consequences of vascular access. He was the president of the Vascular Access Society during 2017-2019 and is also chair of the Czech Society for Vascular Access.
