Maurizio Gallieni

Prof. Maurizio Gallieni is a Nephrologist from Milano, Italy. He graduated in Medicine in 1985 from the University of Milano, Italy. Then, he trained as a Clinical Fellow in Nephrology at the University of Verona, Italy, and from 1991 till 1993 as a Research Fellow in Nephrology at Washington University School of Medicine – Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. Currently, he is Director of Nephrology and Dialysis, Fatebenefratelli-Sacco Hospitals, Milano, Italy. He is affiliated with the University of Milano, Italy as an associate professor in Nephrology.. He is the director of the specialty School of Nephrology at the University of Milano.. He is the author of two hundred and eighty-five publications indexed in PubMed. H index: Scopus: 33. In the field of Vascular Access, he is the Coordinating Editor of the Journal of Vascular Access. He has been serving the Vascular Access Society since 2009 (Executive Board member, 2009-2011, President-Elect, 2011-2013; President, 2013-2015, Past-president 2015-2017, Council member 2017-present, President of the VAS Italian Chapter 2017-2019). He is also a member of the Vascular Access Society of the Americas, of the European Dialysis and Transplant Association – EDTA, and a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN).
